Thank you for taking the time to learn more about A British Education. Before founding this service, I spent many years working inside some of the UK’s leading boarding schools as a Housemaster. It was a role that gave me a deep understanding of what young people truly need to thrive not just academically, but emotionally, socially and personally. I witnessed how the right adult, the right guidance and the right environment can transform a child’s confidence and aspirations.
A British Education was founded because I wanted families outside the traditional school setting to have access to that same level of care, structure and educational excellence. A tutor or governess should be more than a subject specialist, they should bring stability, integrity, kindness and a genuine commitment to a child’s growth. They should complement the rhythm of your home and support your family’s values, whether you live in one place or across several.
My approach is deeply personal. I take the time to understand each family’s lifestyle, expectations and long-term goals. Every educator I put forward has been selected not only for their academic strength, but for their character, professionalism and ability to integrate seamlessly into private family life.

You receive a shortlist of carefully chosen candidates with full profiles, references and background information.
Step 4: Interviews & Trial Period
We arrange interviews, trial lessons or trial days, either in person or online.
Step 5: Placement & Ongoing Support
Once you select your tutor or nanny, we provide continued support to ensure a successful long-term placement.
